Great to be snowed in!

After working 24 straight days, and 10 to 12 hour days, getting snowed in for Christmas was a double blessing. It was a wonderful white Christmas which is a rare thing in Alabama.

Working the long hours and Peggy with her leg broke, did not leave time for sculpting, but now with the week off and Peg's leg on the mend, I hope to have some things to post soon. I will start posting as soon as it starts coming together.

This year is gong to be an interesting one. I plan to put a greater priority on my art. I have a couple of shows I plan to do. One that I am all ready committed to that is in April. So now the pressure is on to sculpt. I do seem to work better when I am under pressure. I haven't done a show in four years. Scary!

Finally finished Mr and Mrs Pumkin-Head.

I had intended to have this finished a lot eariler, but life had other plans. Last week my wife fell going down our stairs, and broke her ankle in three places. She had surgery on it last Sunday and is now back home and doing a lot better, but will not be able to put any weight on her right foot for eight weeks. Then will be in a walking cast for four more weeks. She has had a rough year.

But here there are.

Some Halloween stuff I need to paint tonight

I started this couple last month but stuff got in the way of me finishing them. I hope to have them sanded and painted tonight so we can display them on Halloween. They are ready to attend a halloween party. She has brought with her a black bird pie for their host.

Here is a little guy I did awhile back.

Lefty is done except for his base.

I still have to build his base, but other than that I think I am through.
Have a great Friday.

More on Lefty, but still not finished yet, but he is getting there.

I have almost finished painting Lefty. I have gotten his gloves and boots finished. The gloves are polymer clay that I have painted with acrylic paint, and the boots are made of leather with waxed leather strings. The gloves have not been glued onto the body yet. That's why I have the support on the left glove. Sorry about the photos. I do need to set up some lights. All comments are welcome. Thanks!

Lefty

I have been working on an over aged Boxer who hasn't realized it was time to get out of the ring a long time ago. I hope to have him finished this week.

I finally got to finish frankie. Work went crazy and I didn't think I was ever going to get back into the studio.
I have mixed emotions over the paint job, but I still like him. Time to move on.
